Dare to be different?

What is wrong with being different? What is wrong with living in this society, this big world and being 'different'?
I know that I'm different and I definately think that people should be able to walk past me on the street and say that there's something parculier about me if I identify myself as a Christian. Which I do. They may not know what it is that may cause me to look the way I do but they should be able to see a difference.

See, this is where it gets tricky because your knowledge and understanding of what a Christian should be like is probably correct, according to the bible we shoud be like Christ. If we look at the character of Jesus when he walked this earth, we read how he was very different to those that were living around him. Put aside the miracles He performed for a moment because we know that there was more to Him than that, and focus on His character, He was peaceful, compassionate to others, Honest, and stood firm in the Faith, He didn't compromise Himself or His mission for anyone, Thanks be to God, and He had power and last but not least, He had Love. And it was Love that caused Him to make the ultimate sacrifice for mankind and die for our sins that we might have eternal life and power to make a difference here on earth.

God has given us the power to live a life that is different to everyone else.
A born again Christian should possess the power which is the spirit ofGod to co-exist with others and not be tarred with the same brush as every body else.
You're probably wondering what I'm getting at! Well, true Christians not only bare the same characteristics as God but they look different on the outside, eg, their clothes, face, hair.
We shouldn't follow the ever changing fashions of this world, nor should we be drinking alcolhol, smoking, partying, involving in sexual relationships, it probably sounds like an unrealistic way to live doesn't it, but it's not. God has equipt us with the ability to not indulge in such things through his Spirit.

It is so important to be seperated and untangled from the things of this world. After all, we are his creation and he is Holy so we should seperate from anything that would cause us to sin against God and take us away from his purpose.

I really want to connect with the younger generation of Christians and also those of you who are in the faith who know in their heart that God requires more and better from you. You may not agree with my opinion but every thing I've said can be backed up by the bible and my own personal testimonies.

There is a preacher that I so admire, his name is Pastor Gino Jennings. I've listened to the teachings because it is all biblical, and I can agree with what he preaches and teaches. Holiness, soberness, the undiluted word of God.
And that's what this whole Christian walk is about, not diluting Gods word!
